1. Who we are
Our website address is: http://munexis-era.com (operated as a subdivision of MJNEXIS SYSTEMS).
2. information we collect and how we collect it
i. Account registration and course progress
When you register for an account or enroll in a course on MUNEXIS-ERA, we collect personal details such as your name, email address, username, password, and course enrollment details. As you progress through courses, quizzes, and assignments, we track your course completion status, quiz scores, grades, and learning history.
When you make use of interactive modules and quizzes on the website, your responses may be stored to track your learning progress and display completion statistics within your profile.
ii. E-commerce and billing information
When purchasing courses or digital items from our store, we collect information needed to fulfill your order, such as your name, billing address, payment preference, email address, and transaction details. Payment details are processed securely through payment gateways, and sensitive financial account details (like full credit card numbers) are not stored directly on our web servers.
iii. security and authentication logging
To ensure the security of our platform,
- We log visitor IP addresses, login attempts, user agents, and failed access requests for security.
- We record user login timestamps, IP addresses, browser info, and login statuses (successful vs. failed) to monitor account activity and maintain user security.
iv. comments and form submissions
When visitors leave comments or submit forms on the site, we collect the data shown in the form.
v. media
If you upload images or assignment assets to the website (e.g., within student profiles or LMS submissions), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Avoid uploading sensitive media. Upload only media you don’t mind being public.
vi. Email delivery and communications
When system emails are sent to you—such as account creation confirmations, password resets, enrollment alerts, quiz results, or purchase receipts—our website routes these messages through an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) delivery service. To ensure reliable email delivery, the system temporarily logs details such as the recipient’s email address, subject line, timestamp, and message delivery status (e.g., delivered or bounced).
We may also reach out to you through your phone number if you choose that as your preferred mode of communication when filling forms. Ignore any contact attempts that are not related to a form you filled.
vii. social login and single sign-on (Google sign-in)
If you choose to register or log in to MUNEXIS-ERA using your Google Account via Google OAuth, we collect basic profile information provided by Google with your permission. This generally includes your full name, primary email address, profile picture URL, and unique Google account ID. We use this data solely to authenticate your identity, set up your student profile, grant access to your enrolled courses, and manage your account. We do not request or access private Google data such as your Google Drive, Gmail, or contacts.
3. tracking technologies
We track key things to maintain user sessions, enhance navigation, and manage checkout and LMS state:
- Authentication & Login: When you log in, we save your credentials and screen layout preferences. Login cookies persist for two days, and screen preferences persist for one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends your login session for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
- LMS & E-Commerce Session Cookies: WooCommerce and Tutor LMS set temporary session cookies to keep track of items in your cart, checkout steps, and active lesson sessions.
4. embedded content from other websites
Articles or lessons on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or external tools). Embedded content from third-party websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the third-party website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, especially if you have an account and are logged in to those external websites.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when necessary to provide our services, maintain security, or fulfill transactions:
- Password Resets: If you request a password reset, your current IP address will be included in the reset email sent to your account address.
- Payment Processors: Transaction data is shared with our secure payment partners (e.g., Paystack or other configured gateways) strictly to process your orders.
- Security & Spam Protection: Security data, login records, and comments may be processed through automated spam and brute-force protection routines.
- Email Service Providers: Email Service Providers: Your name, email address, and notification details are passed to our SMTP mail routing service solely for the purpose of delivering transactional emails, order receipts, and course updates to your inbox. Email content is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Identity & Authentication Providers (Google): When using Google Sign-In, token verification data is exchanged with Google APIs to securely authenticate your credentials. Data obtained from Google APIs is processed strictly to provide account access and functionality, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
6. how long we retain your data
Account & LMS Records: For registered users, we retain personal information, course progress records, and transaction histories for as long as your account remains active or as required for course certification and accounting records.
Comments: Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
Security & Access Logs: Security logs generated (such as IP addresses and login logs) are stored temporarily and periodically cleaned according to configured security retention policies.
7. what rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obligated to retain for administrative, legal, financial, or security purposes (such as purchase invoices or security audit logs).
All registered users can view, edit, or delete their personal profile information at any time (except username changes). Website administrators also have access to edit this information.
8. where your data is sent
Visitor comments and login attempts may be checked through automated security and spam detection services. Hosted data resides on secure servers managing our website infrastructure.
